+ WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY "LOOKS"?

Looks are considered wardrobe changes. In addition to wardrobe, I will play with lighting, angles, and backgrounds to create clear changes. You may add one item or take away one item (like glasses or a jacket/sweater) to/from a look without having that count as a different look.

+ WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

I would recommend wearing a solid color tank, shirt, or blouse with a clean neckline, in a flattering color or jewel tone, that compliments your skin tone. Additionally, don’t wear anything with a loud pattern or a large/visible logo that will distract from your face. The goal is to look your natural best.

+ WHAT ABOUT MY HAIR & MAKEUP?

I am not currently providing the services of a hair & makeup artist. I ask that you arrive at the shoot with your hair and makeup already done. Because I shoot using natural light, I ask that makeup be lightly applied and very natural and hair not be ostentatious. Ladies, if you want to switch up your hairstyle, that is totally fine! Please be sure that it is a style that can be done in 10 - 15 minutes. Natural wigs or pieces that can be quickly applied are always winners. Men, if you need to shave between takes, bring an electric razor.

+ WHERE DO WE MEET TO SHOOT?

Once you book your session we'll discuss the details about location.

+ WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

This is one of the downsides to outdoor natural light photography, we are at the mercy of Mother Nature. If she decides to be rude and rain on our parade... or send a plague of locusts... aaaaaack!!! No worries, we will reschedule to another date at no cost to you.

+ HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY HEADSHOTS?

Your headshots will be available for viewing online at least one week after your shoot. Once that time has arrived, I will send you an email with a link to your personalized proofing gallery. Yay!! Once you select the Headshot(s) you would like for me to retouch, I will need at least 3 - 5 business days to complete the retouch work. Once it's complete, I will send you an email to let you know your retouch is ready for review. You will be allowed 2 revisions to the final retouch (i.e., can you make my teeth whiter? that strand of hair is giving me Alfalfa, etc). Once the final revisions have been made to the retouch and all payment has been finalized, you will be able to download your retouched headshots right away. Lastly, I will digitally transfer ALL of your images via WeTransfer. This entire process can take one to two weeks.

Your proofing gallery will be accessible for 14 days while you select the photograph(s) that you’d like for me to retouch. If you fail to select the photograph(s) you’d like for me to retouch during that two week period, your gallery will expire and there will be a $10 renewal fee. Your proofing gallery is not a website, it is meant specifically for proofing your headshots. If you would like a gallery to share indefinitely, it sounds like you need a website! I design websites and I would be thrilled to design one for you. If there are extenuating circumstances preventing you from being able to select your images during the two week period, please let me know.

+ WHAT IF I HAVE AN AUDITION?

I will happily work with you to expedite the process. Keep in mind that there may be an additional fee depending on how much of a time constraint we are under and my current workload. This is handled on a case by case basis so please advise me of a time constraint at the time you book your appointment.

+ WILL YOU PRINT THEM FOR ME?

I do not provide printing and manufacturing services. If you are in the Atlanta area, check out The Pixel Pusher or Prima Atlanta. If you would prefer to order online, check out mpix or The Actor's Photo Lab.

+ I'D LIKE TO ADD AN ADDITIONAL LOOK, CAN I DO THAT?

Yes. You can add a maximum of 3 additional looks at $75 per look. If you'd like to add an additional look, please let me know that BEFORE you book so I can customize the package to suit your needs.

+ HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY SESSION WITH YOU?

The best thing you can do for yourself is to be well rested and come ready to have fun! You want your photographs to reflect your truest self, so come prepared to show that. Also, if you aren't comfortable in front of the camera, that's okay! Me either. The way I prepare myself is to get in front of a mirror and make sure that the facial expression that my brain sends to my face is the expression that I'm actually making and that it is one I would want the camera to capture. I discovered that sometimes what I think my face is doing and what my face is actually doing are sometimes two different things... LOL! Also, have a very clear picture in your mind of what you need out of your session with me and come prepared to slay. I'll be right there with you!

+ DO YOU HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR POSES OR SHOTS I MIGHT NEED?

Just to stay on the safe side, if you have representation, check with your agent before your session and ask them what they are looking for specifically from you in this Headshot session. If you don't have representation and you have no idea where to begin, that's okay too. Once you book your session, during our consultation we can chat about how I can help you more clearly define your image and even help you figure out what colors work best with your skin tone and coloring. If you are familar with Pinterest, I highly recommend that you create a Pinterest board with headshots and poses that inspire you.
